Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team as a Band 6 Practitioner. This is a fixed-term vacancy to cover maternity leave, and we welcome applications from experienced allied health professionals or nurses.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in community settings across Dorset, delivering Pulmonary Rehabilitation services. We have close links with respiratory and therapy teams in Dorset County Hospital, Primary Care Networks, and have well-established MDT support.
Dorset County Hospital is the lead provider for Pulmonary Rehabilitation in the County, and we work in close collaboration with Dorset Healthcare, running our services from a range of community venues. We are committed to achieving national accreditation and participating in the national audit program for Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
As a Band 6 Practitioner, you will be professionally and legally accountable for a specialized patient caseload, deciding priorities for your work area without direct supervision. You will assess patients' suitability to join the Pulmonary Rehabilitation program and work at an advanced level.

Key Responsibilities- Work at an advanced level, professionally and legally accountable for a specialized patient caseload.
- Assess patients' suitability to join the Pulmonary Rehabilitation program.
- Car driver is essential.
We are looking for a candidate with a Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing, and experience in rotational physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or nursing at Band 5 level. You should have experience in the specialist area and have participated in audit and evidence-based projects.
You should also have knowledge of evidenced-based practice pertaining to Pulmonary Rehabilitation, national guidelines and standards, and clinical governance. You should be able to work across sites in a flexible manner and adapt to changing environments.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary of £37,338 to £44,962 per annum, pro rata, and a range of benefits, including regular in-house training and access to external courses, opportunities for project work and service improvement, and the chance to gain experience in managerial skills through appraisal and supervision of junior staff and students.
