About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Practitioner to join our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' suitability for our Pulmonary Rehabilitation program and develop personalized care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to ensure patients are achieving optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and students to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing.
  • Relevant postgraduate courses and clinical educators training.
  • Experience in rotational physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or nursing, including experience in the specialist area of Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice, national guidelines, and standards relevant to Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
  • Ability to work across sites in a flexible manner and adapt to changing environments.
