Job Description

Wayman Group is seeking a highly skilled Science Teacher to join our esteemed network of independent schools. As a Science Educator, you will have the opportunity to inspire students' love for science and foster curiosity about the world around them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Engaging Science Lessons: Design and implement interactive Science lessons that promote critical thinking and a deep understanding of scientific principles.
  • Utilize Innovative Teaching Strategies: Cater to students' unique learning styles and abilities by employing cutting-edge teaching methods.
  • Develop and Implement Science Curriculum: Plan and implement a well-structured Science curriculum that aligns with the school's educational goals and objectives.
  • Assess Student Progress: Evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Create a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and foster a collaborative teaching and learning environment.
  • Communicate with Parents: Establish effective communication with parents and guardians to share students' progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in Science or a related field.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience teaching Science in an independent school setting is preferred.
  • Passion for Science Education: A passion for Science education and inspiring students to explore the subject.
  • Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum and current educational practices.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to Create a Positive Learning Environment: Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
