Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEND Curriculum Lead to join our team at Reed. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to lead and transform the educational experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and implementation of SEND teaching and learning strategies across the organization.
  2. Manage and develop a team of staff teaching on foundation programs, ensuring high-quality provision and resource utilization.
  3. Oversee the operational aspects of the foundation curriculum, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and quality standards.
  4. Implement quality assurance and improvement processes, adhering to internal and external requirements.
  5. Utilize data to monitor, evaluate, and plan improvements in SEND provision.
  6. Foster innovation, including the use of new technologies and embedding equality and diversity within the curriculum.
  7. Oversee curriculum timetable management and implementation.
Requirements
  1. GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  2. Full teaching qualification at level 5 or above (SEND).
  3. Level 4 in Management in Education.
  4. Outstanding planning and delivery of teaching and learning.
  5. Experience coordinating SEND provision for young people and adults.
  6. Leadership experience and knowledge of internal quality assurance processes.
  7. Understanding of safeguarding and ensuring the safety of young people and adults.
