About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist in Respiratory Care to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care and management to patients with respiratory conditions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, planning, and implementation of respiratory care to patients, including ventilation therapy and other evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care across settings.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in respiratory nursing practice, staying up-to-date with current research and guidelines.
  • Lead and mentor others in respiratory care, promoting best practices and excellence in patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with post-registration experience in respiratory care or a relevant field.
  • Current knowledge of respiratory diseases, including asthma, COPD, TB, and ILD.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills, with experience in leading and developing others in respiratory care.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
