Wrexham, Wrexham, United Kingdom Compass Associates Full time
Dynamic Psychologist Role for Children's Services

Compass Associates is proud to collaborate with a leading provider of specialist children's services to recruit experienced Psychologists. This exciting opportunity is designed for Clinical, Forensic, Counselling, or Educational Psychologists with expertise in working with children.

This hybrid role combines home-based work with regular visits to residential homes, where you will provide specialist care and support for children with complex trauma backgrounds, learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and challenging behaviours.

Your responsibilities include conducting assessments and consultations, developing therapeutic plans, and delivering direct trauma-informed interventions with the children. Additionally, you will design training programs and offer advice to residential staff on supporting children effectively. Senior support comes from the Clinical Lead and Associate Clinical Director, while collaboration with Qualified Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, Creative Therapists, and Psychotherapists is also integral to your role.

This position requires a Doctorate degree in Psychology, full HCPC registration without conditions, a valid UK driving license, clear DBS, and experience working with children within CAMHS, residential, or specialist education settings. A good understanding of residential care, trauma-informed practice, and multidisciplinary working is essential.

The estimated salary for this role is £63,000 per annum, depending on experience. The interview process involves an informal conversation followed by a formal Teams interview.
