Clinical Nurse Specialist in Ventilation Services

Job Summary
The Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist will work within the Ventilation Services of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, providing expert nursing knowledge in the management of patient care. This role involves working with patients, families, and other health professionals to provide timely nursing care and optimize outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of patients through diagnosis and management.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate own and others' care.
- Prescribe advanced evidence-based nursing therapeutics, pharmacological, and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Guide and support others in the ventilatory specialty in their assessment, clinical decision-making, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of care.
- Provide leadership, role models, and guides others in nursing practice.
- Support the Ventilatory Service through specialist clinical practice, performing screening procedures and diagnostic tests to aid diagnosis and patient management.

Requirements
- Registered with the NMC.
- Post-registration experience within respiratory or relevant post.
- Working towards a relevant post-graduate degree to be completed within an agreed timeframe.
- Diploma level training or demonstrable CPD in respiratory management.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Obtained or working towards relevant Post Graduate Degree in Respiratory care.
- Demonstrates ability to support the development of nursing standards and quality initiatives.
- Demonstrates teaching, mentoring, and assessing skills.
- Demonstrate involvement in research that has changed nursing practice.
