Macildowie Associates is a leading recruitment agency with a strong presence in Burton upon Trent. We are working closely with a fast-growing and innovative company to find an experienced Accounts Assistant.
Salary and BenefitsWe are offering a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare and pension schemes. Additionally, this hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home 2 days a week and in the office 3 days a week.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable records with precision. This includes assisting in the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations, as well as supporting month-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Assisting with payroll processing and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to address and resolve financial queries.
- Monitoring and managing expenses to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Providing support for ad hoc finance projects and operational improvements.
We are looking for an individual with previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role, skilled in using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will also be proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- AAT qualified (or studying towards qualification) is highly desirable.
- Minimum GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) at grade C or above.
