Import Coordinator

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Import Coordinator to join our team at Reed. As an Import Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing inbound movements on behalf of our clients, ensuring their interests are prioritised while also delivering on the strategic objectives of our group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process pre-advices and shipping documentation.
- Issue notices of arrival and customs clearance instructions.
- Book FCL and LCL deliveries, including merchant and line haulages.
- Handle day-to-day invoicing and profit reporting.
- Follow up on purchase orders/shipments.
- Communicate with overseas offices and partners.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide customer reporting and maintain high levels of customer service.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
- Proven deep sea import experience.
- Excellent ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Good telephone manner and exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Friendly, calm, and professional demeanour.
- Ability to handle pressure and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
