A leading engineering consultancy based in Cambridge city centre, serving clients across the Higher Education and Science, Residential, Workspace and Warehouses and Logistics sectors.

Main Purpose of the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Cambridge. As part of this role, you will be responsible for delivering structural engineering projects across various sectors, including Higher Education and Science, Residential, Workspace and Warehouses and Logistics.

The ideal candidate will have a background in delivering structural engineering projects for an engineering consultancy and a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience is required, with a proven track record of working on building structures projects, design, calculations, and consulting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Implement Project Requirements: Deliver projects that meet client specifications in accordance with relevant standards.
  2. Collate Project Information: Liaise and engage with clients and third parties as required.
  3. Supervise Site-Based Projects: As required, supervise site-based projects ensuring they are delivered to the highest standard.
  4. Execute Site-Based Functions: Collect project-specific information from clients and other contractor staff as required by the Project Manager.
  5. Check/Approve Work: Check and approve own and other staff work, including third-party design proposals, as identified in the Project Quality Plan.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant Degree: Civil or Structural Engineering degree.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in an engineering organisation.
  • Experience Working on Building Structures Projects: Proven track record of working on building structures projects, design, calculations, and consulting.
  • Years of Post-Graduate Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience.

Estimated Salary Range: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.
