Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. About the Company
We are a small structural engineering firm located in Billerica. Our company project types include commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional facilities. We design and analyze structures constructed of a variety of materials, including structural steel, stainless steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, wood, and cold formed metal framing. About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a Civil and Structural Engineer, you will perform critical structural analysis and design for various building types, actively contributing to the project lifecycle. You will apply industry standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, Building Code) and have opportunities to lead elements of project development while enhancing your technical skills. With autonomy to meet deadlines and manage tasks, you will be able to contribute significantly to our team's success.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include compiling construction documents, conducting site investigations, designing with materials like aluminum, light gauge metal framing, concrete, steel, and wood, applying building codes and reference materials to ensure safe, high-quality designs, preparing professional reports and construction documents, creating sections, details, and specifications using Revit, producing and modifying structural sketches and estimating key elements, reviewing and coordinating construction documents and project details, attending project coordination meetings and assisting in site inspections.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 2-5 years of structural engineering experience, particularly in building design. You should also possess EIT Certification, familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, CWC Woodwork, ENERCALC, Tekla, Tedds, RAM, and RISA 3D, and knowledge of industry standards. We encourage continuous learning and offer tuition reimbursement for additional courses towards your Master's Degree.
