About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to join the Royal Navy as an Engineering Apprentice. As part of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating some of the most sophisticated equipment on the planet, working with your team, under the guidance of the Engineer Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily rounds, checking equipment to ensure the ship remains operational. You will need to be precise and pay attention to detail.
  • Find innovative and resourceful solutions to complex problems, applying the engineering skills and knowledge you gain.
  • Work on ships, submarines, aircraft, or electrical equipment, and contribute to the immense engineering effort that goes into powering our ships.
Benefits

As a Royal Navy Engineering Apprentice, you will receive a competitive starting salary of at least £25,000, rising to over £58,000 as your career progresses. You will also receive additional pay for each day spent at sea, and an excellent non-contributory pension scheme. Other benefits include six weeks of paid holiday every year, free medical and dental care, and amazing opportunities for world travel and adventurous training.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this role, you must be aged between 16 to 39, and a United Kingdom national, or Commonwealth citizen, or Dual National. You will also need to meet the minimum height and Body Mass Index requirements. A real sense of adventure, with a high level of physical and mental fitness, is essential for this role.
