Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Women and Children Division. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive administration support to our Cancer Specialist Nurses, ensuring the smooth running of our services and maintaining effective communication and collaborative working.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Cancer Specialist Nurses, including data entry, record-keeping, and correspondence.
  • Have an understanding of cancer pathways, including the Faster Diagnosis Standard.
  • Use various software programs, including Microsoft Office, Patient Administration System, and national e-Referral system.
  • Organise and attend meetings relevant to the Department.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, both paper and computer-based, in accordance with Trust standards.

About You

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to work effectively as part of a team. You will have previous clerical experience, accurate typing skills, and a good understanding of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of patient case note filing and experience working in an office environment would be advantageous.
