Job Title: Adult and Child Psychiatrist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established multidisciplinary team at The Copse, a leading provider of mental health services. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in the management of complex cases, implementation of the Mental Health Act, and formulation of care plans and treatments for individual service users.

Main Responsibilities
  • Liaise and collaborate with care co-ordinators, commissioners, families, and carers to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Implement the Mental Health Act and liaise with the Ministry of Justice as required.
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversee the service user care pathway from assessment to discharge.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
  • Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved clinician status.
  • Experience in General Adult or rehabilitation settings and working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of working within acute inpatient or community settings, ideally inpatient settings, and risk assessment and risk management.
