About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at The Copse, providing inpatient rehabilitation for men with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex cases and implement the mental health act
  • Formulate care plans and treatments for individual needs of service users
  • Guide on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness
  • Liaise and collaborate with care co-ordinators, commissioners, families and carers, and other services/agencies
  • Clinical leadership of the service with a key role in the clinical governance of the hospital
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Full GMC registration with licence to practice
  • MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
  • Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved clinician status
  • Experience in General Adult or rehabilitation settings and have experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
