Job Opportunity: Consultant Psychiatrist

This is a fantastic chance to become part of a well-established multidisciplinary team at The Copse and make a meaningful difference in the lives of men with enduring mental health issues.

Main Responsibilities
  • Liaise and collaborate with care coordinators, commissioners, families, and carers, as well as other services and agencies.
  • Implement the Mental Health Act and work with the Ministry of Justice as required.
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary, multi-agency, and partnership working.
  • Provide clinical leadership for the service, playing a key role in the clinical governance of the hospital.
  • Oversee the service user care pathway from assessment and admission to discharge.
Key Requirements
  • Hold an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Be fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practice.
  • Have MRCPsych or equivalent approval from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
  • Be able to take full and independent responsibility for patient care.
  • Hold Section 12(2) approval to work in England and be an Approved Clinician.
  • Have experience in General Adult or rehabilitation settings and work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have experience in acute inpatient or community settings, ideally inpatient settings, and be skilled in risk assessment and risk management.
