Maintenance Manager Job Description

Es Integrated has a current need for a full-time Maintenance Manager on a facility operation support services contract at a Federal law enforcement training facility in Cheltenham, MD. The facility consists of multiple administrative, training, and support structures spread over a 300+ acre campus with various infrastructure and assets, including indoor firing ranges and associated systems, building structural components, real property equipment, HVAC systems, and fuel systems.

This is a supervisory role that requires a high level of professionalism for client interaction, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office, including MS Word and Excel.

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure improvement and maintenance plans.
  • Perform facility inspections to provide comprehensive facility condition assessments.
  • Oversee completion of complex infrastructure or asset repair/replacement projects with in-house staff or subcontractors.
  • Plan work activities, develop budgets, and expend funds within established limits to meet maintenance goals.
  • Supervise the work of skilled trades and general maintenance workers.
  • Review and approve subcontractor proposals.
  • Oversee the quality of services and products provided.

Required Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Maintenance Manager, preferably at a facility of comparable size and complexity.
  • Experience in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to secure a Government clearance in a timely manner – requires a CLEAN background history.
  • Proficiency using MS Office (including MS Word and Excel) and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism for client interaction.
  • Expertise with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or other building systems is highly desirable.
  • Certification in one of the skilled trades such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing work is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of US Government facilities is also a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License with Clean driving Record.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Strong client relations skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage costs and control schedule.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety requirements.
  • Ability to coach, lead and motivate multinational and multi-disciplined employees.
  • Shows leadership, concise execution of plans, vision of project future, and effective communication of vision to subordinates.
  • Integrity and strong communication skills.

Education Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or higher.

Hours of Work:

  • Typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday unless otherwise required by a job/project.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has supervisory responsibilities.
