Job Title: Finance Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment. As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including logging invoices, reviewing employee expense claims, and completing supplier statement checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Logging invoices received into the business
  • Review and check employee expense claims
  • Complete supplier statement checks on a monthly basis
  • Prepare the monthly payment run (transfers)
  • Ensure any invoice received follows group payment procedure
  • Resolve any AP queries
  • Complete relevant government returns and statistical returns
  • Analysis of financial information, e.g., transport cost analysis
  • Place purchase orders
  • Work alongside the payroll department to aid in the processing of payrolls within the group
  • Provide administrative support within F&A, e.g., reception cover and post cover

Requirements:

  • Experience in a previous finance assistant role, including sales ledger or purchase ledger
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • Good numeracy skills and computer literacy, including MS applications, particularly Excel
