Role Overview:
A supportive and flexible role is available for an Unqualified Teacher at our school in Sevenoaks, Kent. As a key member of our teaching team, you will work closely with students who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

The school provides a unique environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our curriculum is designed to help each student reach their full potential. Additional therapies are available, including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, play therapy, and holistic massage therapy.

About the Role:
As an Unqualified Teacher, you will be required to have strong Maths and English skills. You will educate children on a 1:1 basis in various locations, including homes and libraries. Additionally, you will need to drive between locations using a car provided by the school. Your ability to build relationships and manage challenging behavior with reluctant learners is essential.

This is a full-time, term-time only position that offers the opportunity to see students develop confidence in both their learning and social skills. Eventually, they will transition into our main school setting. The salary for this role is approximately £25,630 per annum, reflecting the qualifications and experience required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monday-Friday, term-time only, 37.5 hours per week
  • Hold a UK driving license
  • Strong English and Maths skills
  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Strong behavior management skills
  • Ability to build relationships quickly
  • Excellent ability to explain concepts clearly
  • Minimum 2:1 bachelor's degree
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
