Job Title: Education Support Professional

A highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant is required to join a reputable primary school in Sevenoaks. This full-time role starts January 2025.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement learning plans aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, promoting academic skills and fostering a positive classroom environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers to create engaging lesson plans and assessments.
  • Monitor students' progress and development, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Work closely with small groups or individual children to address specific learning needs.
  • Maintain composure when faced with challenging situations.
  • Foster participation among all students in learning and extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements and school policies.
  • Promote and safeguard pupil welfare.

Requirements:
  • Hold a minimum Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Previous experience working with children is essential.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply.
