About The Role

To support the traffic and logistics manager in coordinating all traffic, logistics, and parking operations for the NEC Campus, including resource management and daily operations. The Traffic and Logistics Planner will line manage and develop the two traffic office coordinators and work closely with OCS colleagues, the traffic supervisors, and report into the Campus Traffic and Logistics Manager.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily traffic plans for the campus, including costing documents.
  • Monitor and maintain systems used by the traffic and logistics department, including Voyage control, Traffic Database, Speed check database, Genetec, and Timegate.
  • Identify and record training requirements and records for the department.
  • Collate financial documents in support of events traffic and carpark revenue.
  • Communicate with events staff on necessary departmental information, including event details and training.
  • Evaluate current processes and procedures, and develop new strategies to work more effectively within the business.
  • Manage the team on site when the campus is at over 50% capacity and the manager is not available.
  • Support the manager in managing the casual workforce, including recruitment, scheduling, and HR liaison.
  • Identify recruitment channels with the contract support team.
  • Develop and manage the traffic office coordinators.
Educational Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification or higher, with relevant professional qualifications, such as IOSH or NeBOSH.
  • Previous experience in a traffic function, with financial administration and event environment experience.
  • Personal characteristics, including professionalism, adaptability, self-starter, enthusiasm, problem-solving, and effective communication.
