Job Summary

We are seeking an Optical Assistant to join our team at Health Care Personnel. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide a warm welcome to our store
  • Select the correct frames for patients' lenses
  • Measure frames to ensure a perfect fit
  • Order prescription glasses and contact lenses for patients
  • Make follow-up appointments and schedule adjustments
  • Conduct pre-screening tests, such as retinal imaging and pressure testing
  • Explain offers and products to customers
  • Process payments and handle customer transactions

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is £15,452.00, depending on experience and location.

Requirements

  • Must have previous experience working in an optician's shop
  • Strong understanding of English and maths skills
  • Basic IT skills required
  • Prior experience in customer service or retail roles advantageous

Working Environment

This is a full-time position, working 5 days out of 7, including some late evenings and weekends.
