Position: Electrical Apprenticeships Educator

Location: Corby Campus

Compensation/Benefits: Starting salary from £31,000 depending on experience and qualifications, 45 days of annual leave plus public holidays, Teachers pension scheme, discounts in retail and leisure, and exceptional opportunities for professional and personal growth, including access to college courses.

Work Schedule: 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Role Overview:

We are in search of an Electrical Apprenticeships Educator to become part of The Bedford College Group at our Corby Campus.

As an Electrical Apprenticeships Educator, you will be pivotal in fostering the success of our learners by:

  • Designing, delivering, evaluating, and validating subject-specific content across various courses and levels.
  • Mentoring and guiding students to achieve their goals and unlock their potential.
  • Overseeing student learning and ensuring a high-quality educational experience.
  • Actively contributing to curriculum development and innovative teaching practices within the Centre.
  • Engaging in promotional activities to support a diverse range of programs and learning opportunities.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • Level 3 NVQ qualification in Electrical Installation (2357/5357 or equivalent)
  • Completion of AM2/AM2S or equivalent
  • Either a Certificate in Education or equivalent, or an Assessor Award
  • GCSE Maths and English grades A-C or equivalent
  • A commitment to obtaining an IQA award or similar qualification
  • Recent experience in the UK Electrotechnical industry or in teaching and assessing various programs and levels.
  • Awareness of current trends in UK Building Services
  • Evidence of promoting equality and diversity within the role
  • A collaborative spirit, valuing and respecting the expertise and contributions of others
  • Flexibility to work across all locations served by Bedford College
