Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Brendoncare Stildon, a leading provider of care services in the South of England. As a Chef in our Bank setting, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents, catering to their individual needs and dietary requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including meal prep, stock rotation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Deputise for the Chef Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Cater for staff meals, guests, visitors, and relatives of residents, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Chef Manager to develop and implement menus, ensuring they meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene regulations, including COSHH and HACCP standards.

Requirements

  • Level 2 Food Safety Qualification
  • Commercial cooking experience, preferably in a care home setting or catering for older/vulnerable adults.
  • Competent in IT software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene legislation and its application.
