This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity to work as a Customer Compliance Lead at Essex County Council. The role ensures customer services meet all statutory and policy requirements through effective controls and checks.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering efficient service recovery, championing customer experience, and tackling the root causes of complaints. By leveraging performance data and customer feedback, you will drive continuous improvements and implement cost-effective solutions.

  • Audit & Improvement: Assess internal system controls and collaborate with service areas to develop improvement plans.
  • Customer Experience: Enhance customer experience by reducing touchpoints and rationalising channels.
  • Performance Testing: Evaluate team and individual performance to ensure quality and productivity.

This role requires excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with experience of working successfully with challenging customers. You should have substantial knowledge of compliance and risk management, with experience of translating policy into practical application.
