The successful candidate will work as part of the care team, carrying out all relevant forms of care in conjunction with other nurse practitioners. Ensuring that care services are consistently provided to a high-quality standard and the personal care needs of residents are met while respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence.
The key duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Working collaboratively within the team to ensure smooth operations, adhering to policies and NMC guidelines.
- Engaging in continuous professional development, participating in both internal and external training sessions, meetings, and supervisions.
- Adhering to all relevant regulations, including those pertaining to health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding.
- Representing the home in a positive and professional manner in all interactions with residents, visitors, and colleagues.
- Maintaining confidentiality regarding resident and company information.
- Administering medications and treatments following NMC guidelines and company policies.
- Reporting any resident health concerns promptly and facilitating professional visits as necessary.
- Maintaining and updating resident's care plans in collaboration with residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
- Conducting regular checks on residents to ensure their health, safety, and comfort.
- Acting in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery professional Code of Conduct.
- Supporting new staff members, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
- Continuously improving professional knowledge and competence in relevant areas.
- Assisting in fundraising efforts and upholding home security measures.
- Complying with all company policies and procedures within defined time frames.
- Fostering effective communication with residents, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Participating in staff and resident meetings as required.
- Providing administrative support when necessary.
