Ensuring that care services are consistently provided to a high-quality standard and the personal care needs of residents are met while respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence.

The key duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Working collaboratively within the team to ensure smooth operations, adhering to policies and NMC guidelines.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development, participating in both internal and external training sessions, meetings, and supervisions.
  • Adhering to all relevant regulations, including those pertaining to health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding.
  • Representing the home in a positive and professional manner in all interactions with residents, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding resident and company information.
  • Administering medications and treatments following NMC guidelines and company policies.
  • Reporting any resident health concerns promptly and facilitating professional visits as necessary.
  • Maintaining and updating resident's care plans in collaboration with residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals.
  • Conducting regular checks on residents to ensure their health, safety, and comfort.
  • Acting in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery professional Code of Conduct.
  • Supporting new staff members, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Continuously improving professional knowledge and competence in relevant areas.
  • Assisting in fundraising efforts and upholding home security measures.
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures within defined time frames.
  • Fostering effective communication with residents, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participating in staff and resident meetings as required.
  • Providing administrative support when necessary.
