Job Summary:We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced highly specialist practitioner psychologist to join our Diabetes Psychiatry and Psychology Service (DPPS) as part of the adult diabetes team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological screening, assessment, and treatment to patients with type 1 / complex type 2 diabetes and associated psychological difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist psychological screening, assessment, and treatment to patients with type 1 / complex type 2 diabetes and associated psychological difficulties.
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to provide consultation and teaching on psychological aspects of diabetes care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of psychological interventions for patients with diabetes and associated psychological difficulties.
- Collaborate with the consultant psychiatrist to manage and support the various levels of mental health needs within the diabetes patient cohort.
The Diabetes Psychiatry and Psychology Service (DPPS) is a specialist team that provides psychological support to patients with diabetes and associated psychological difficulties. The team works closely with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to provide comprehensive care to patients with diabetes.
