About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a world-leading cancer centre, contributing to the development of a clinical psychology service for adult cancer patients. You will be responsible for providing a range of interventions, including individual therapy and groups, to support patients and those affected by cancer across the lifespan.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychological assessments and interventions to patients with cancer, including inpatients and outpatients.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and support.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development of clinical psychology services and participate in service meetings and training.
- Undertake risk assessments and provide advice to other professionals as needed.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist who possesses the following qualities:
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Experience of working with patients with cancer or a life-limiting illness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
