Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the NHS. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, accessible, and trauma-informed psychological services to individuals with difficulties associated with drug and alcohol use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, formulation, and recovery-focused interventions to individuals with complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote trauma-informed practice and contribute to the development of evidence-based interventions.
  • Offer regular clinical supervision to junior Psychology staff and contribute to local, regional, and national research projects and audits.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, and carers, as well as other professional colleagues across sectors.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral-level training in clinical or counselling psychology, with experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment of clients across various care settings.
  • HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist under the protected title.
  • High-level knowledge of at least two specialized psychological therapies and legislation related to the client group and mental health.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
