We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist to join our Community Mental Health Hub in North Kensington and Chelsea. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with clients with complex mental health problems, providing specialist psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention to patients attending the service
- Offer specialist advice, guidance, and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to clients' formulation, diagnosis, and treatment plan
- Supervise and line manage junior psychology colleagues and trainee clinical psychologists as part of their training placement
- Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client's mental health problems based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client's problems
- Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients whose problems are managed by psychologically based standard care plans
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical or counseling psychology or its equivalent
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
- Post-Graduate Diploma in DBT
- Assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist in a CMHT or similar complex care service working with patients with complexity and co-morbidity
- Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment, both as a professionally qualified care coordinator and also within the context of a multidisciplinary care plan
