About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payments Operations Analyst to join our team at Funding Circle. As a key member of our Payments Operations Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of daily payments through our bespoke systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process daily payments, including direct debits, bank transfers, card transactions, and internal money movements.
  • Identify and resolve non-standard payments and account behavior, implementing short-term and long-term solutions as needed.
  • Understand the end-to-end flow of money through Funding Circle and take appropriate action for each type of payment, including contacting relevant teams, flagging risk, and implementing controls.
  • Conduct daily checks on processes and authorize all transactions for virtual and real-world money.
  • Collaborate with AML and Fraud teams to ensure client funds are protected and comply with regulatory requirements, including FCA and CASS regulations.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, issues, or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day work.
Requirements
  • Previous administration experience in insurance, financial services operations, or high-volume administrative roles.
  • Experience in payment processing and client money responsibility is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork and communication.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
