About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Payments Operations Analyst to join our team at Funding Circle. As a Payments Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of daily payments, identifying and resolving non-standard payments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process daily payments in our bespoke systems, including direct debits, bank transfers, and card transactions.
  • Identify and resolve non-standard payments and account behavior, implementing short-term and long-term solutions.
  • Understand the end-to-end flow of money through Funding Circle and take appropriate action for each type of payment.
  • Conduct daily checks on processes and authorize all transactions for virtual and real-world money.
  • Collaborate with AML and Fraud teams to protect client funds.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, focusing on FCA and CASS compliance.
  • Proactively problem-solve and mitigate risks, issues, or control weaknesses that arise.
Requirements
  • Previous administration experience in insurance, financial services operations, or high-volume administrative roles.
  • Experience in payment processing and client money responsibility is ideal, but not essential.
  • Commitment to providing a great customer experience through a process-driven approach.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork and communication.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
