The Wayman Learning Trust is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Social Skills Development Tutor to join our experienced team of specialists. About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic SEN Social Skills Development Tutor who can create engaging and tailored support sessions for children aged 5-18. The successful candidate will be part of a renowned SEN support service based in Tower Hamlets, specializing in social skills development for children with Autism and other developmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide high-quality group and one-on-one sessions focused on developing social communication skills for children with SEN
  • To work collaboratively with the experienced team of specialists to deliver personalized support tailored to each child's specific needs
  • To contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where children with SEN can thrive
  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualifications in Childcare, Psychology, or related fields
  • Proven experience working with children with Autism and other social communication challenges
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • A clear DBS check and the right to work in the UK

What We Offer
