Railway Operations Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Railway Operations Safety Specialist to join our Safety Team in London.

  • Develop and maintain operational standards for inclusion in the Safety Manual.
  • Create and monitor a Competence & Operations Training Management System.
  • Perform Safety Checks and Audits of operational safety critical work.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of railway operational matters.
  • Previous experience in traincrew management or supervision is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of all rules and standards applicable to train operation on Network Rail controlled infrastructure and in depots.
  • Holding ENTO units A1 and V1 (or equivalent) awarded by a recognised issuing authority.
  • A proactive individual with strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PDF tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety standards and procedures.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections.
  • Provide training and guidance to traincrew.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of railway operations and safety regulations.
  • Experience in safety management and training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
