Train Operations Safety Strategy Coordinator

The Train Operations Safety Strategy Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of the Leading Health and Safety on Britain's Railways (LHSBR) strategy. This involves working closely with the Principal Strategy Implementation Manager (PRISM) to develop an LHSBR Delivery Roadmap and resourced workplan, as well as managing meeting and reporting activities for the risk area.
The successful candidate will have a degree qualification in a relevant area, such as engineering, operations, or safety management, and experience working within the railway industry. They will be able to work autonomously, be a confident problem solver, and have excellent administration management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the PRISM in building smart working objectives and work plans for the risk group.
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external stakeholder groups to support and govern work programmes.
- Implement and embed solutions in organisations, monitoring and providing feedback on effectiveness and efficiency.
- Work with the Business Management Office and Projects Directorate to plan, track, and monitor delivery of objectives and work plans.
- Provide progress reports for the LHSBR quarterly report.
- Administer quality and assurance procedures as stated in the Quality Management System.
- Relevant degree qualification.
- Experience working within the railway industry.
- Ability to work autonomously and be a confident problem solver.
- Excellent administration management skills.
- Effective customer service and engagement skills.
- Experience of using Microsoft office applications.
