Primary SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

KPi Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate graduate to join their team as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Psychology, Educational Studies or a related field, and a genuine interest in supporting primary school pupils with special educational needs.

As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to develop and implement tailored learning plans, promoting equality and inclusivity in the classroom.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing individualized support to pupils with special educational needs
  • Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and development
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • 2:1 or above in Psychology, Educational Studies or a related field
  • Some experience working with young people would be highly beneficial
  • Patience, resilience and empathy
  • The ability to understand individual needs and tailor teaching methods accordingly
