Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Safety Consultant to join our team at AWE Plc. As a key member of our Warhead Engineering Surety Group, you will be responsible for undertaking technical assessments and providing advice on major hazards associated with nuclear and explosives products.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree or postgraduate qualifications in Science or Engineering, or a related subject. Previous experience working on munitions and/or nuclear reactors or other high-hazard industries is also essential. You should have knowledge of Safety Case content and ALARP determination, as well as understanding of Defence or Civil nuclear regulations.

What We Offer

As a Principal Safety Consultant at AWE Plc, you can expect a competitive salary of £90,000-£110,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a 9-day working fortnight, meaning you get every other Friday off work, in addition to 270 hours of annual leave. Our market-leading contributory pension scheme offers between 9% and 13% of your pensionable pay, depending on your contributions.
