We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Recovery and Engagement Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering effective engagement, harm reduction, and recovery-focused interventions to service users presenting with drug and alcohol issues in community and prison settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver evidence-based interventions, including SMART Recovery and Foundations of Recovery, to support service users in achieving their recovery goals.
- Provide structured group work, drug awareness sessions, and harm reduction initiatives to promote positive change and reduce harm.
- Offer Assertive Outreach services to engage with service users in their local community, homes, and accommodation settings.
- Manage referrals from police stations and custody suites, ensuring seamless links between services.
- Support peer initiatives and service user feedback to inform service development and improvement.
- Act as a liaison between our service and the recovery communities within Edinburgh, fostering strong relationships and partnerships.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a strong understanding of drug and alcohol issues, experience working in the criminal justice or related field, and a passion for delivering high-quality services that make a real difference in people's lives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including service users, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Proven ability to work unsociable hours, manage competing priorities, and maintain a high level of professionalism in challenging situations.
- Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering excellent outcomes for service users.
