Job Title: Housekeeping Team Manager

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum

The Residential Villages Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Team Manager to lead our team of housekeepers in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our residential facilities. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing staff, rotas, and inventory, as well as ensuring that all residents' living spaces are clean, comfortable, and safe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of housekeepers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Clean and sanitize residents' apartments, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas, to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, including dining rooms, lounges, and recreational spaces, to ensure a positive and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, and folding residents' clothing and linens, to ensure their comfort and dignity.
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling, adhering to environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed, to maintain efficient and effective operations.
  • Respond to special requests from residents or their families as needed, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere within the retirement village, promoting resident well-being and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Previous management experience, preferably in a similar role or industry.
  • Ability to follow cleaning schedules and adhere to high cleanliness standards, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Compassionate and respectful attitude towards elderly residents, recognizing their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and residents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
