**About the Role:**

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Housing Development Officer to join our team at North Yorkshire Council. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the delivery of new homes and contribute to our ambitious new council homes development programme.

In this role, you will work on the delivery of new homes through various mechanisms, including direct delivery and through the Council's companies and joint ventures. You will have experience in project and programme management within the construction and property environment, with a strong track record of delivering new build projects from inception to final account stage.

**Key Responsibilities:***

  • Deliver new build projects from inception to final account stage.
  • Manage consultants, monitor budgets, and lead on various stages of new build and regeneration schemes.
  • Build effective and professional partnerships with partners and stakeholders.

**Requirements:**

  • Significant experience in housing development, project management, and leading and working with project teams.
  • Experience in undertaking options appraisals and development and financial appraisals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
