Job Overview
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for student success. This will involve providing individualised support and guidance in both academic and social settings, creating and adapting learning materials to meet the specific needs of students with diverse learning styles, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to students in various academic and social settings to help them achieve their full potential.
- Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans to ensure each student receives the support they need to succeed.
- Collaborate with teachers to modify and differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues to ensure a cohesive support system for students.
Qualifications
- A strong background working with students with challenging behaviour, Autism, and ADHD is essential.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively support students with SEN.
- Patient and empathetic approach when working with students who have diverse learning needs.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic educational setting, accommodating the needs of students.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the classroom.
Salary and Benefits
$45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
