Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies, processes, and systems from start to finish, tailored specifically for large-scale events.
  2. Manage the implementation and oversight of these policies to ensure they are effectively integrated into all event operations.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for health and safety queries from employees, event staff, visitors, and contractors.
  4. Compile, review, and manage all health and safety documentation, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and COSHH.
  5. Stay current with HSE legislation and industry trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and adopts best practices.
  6. Analyse health and safety data to generate reports and develop strategies to enhance safety across all event sites.
  7. Record and investigate incidents and accidents, using findings to reduce future risks and improve safety protocols.
  8. Collaborate with HR to deliver and maintain comprehensive health and safety training programs for all event staff and volunteers.
  9. Lead health and safety audits across multiple event sites, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  10. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that policies and procedures are correctly implemented and followed during events.
  11. Oversee the implementation of health and safety measures during large-scale events, focusing on crowd safety and incident prevention.
  12. Communicate health and safety performance outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and engagement.
  13. Support HR with occupational health issues and risk assessments, including those related to specific event requirements.
Requirements:
  1. NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  2. Proven experience in developing and managing health and safety policies from creation to implementation, particularly in large-scale events.
  3. Experience in crowd safety management and overseeing safety at large events.
  4. Strong understanding of data protection legislation and relevant health and safety systems.
  5. Proficiency in basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
