Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Event Specialist to join our team at The NEC Group. As a Casual Event Chef, you will be responsible for the production and delivery of high-quality food services for our events and exhibitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Senior Head Chef and Head Chef to ensure seamless food service delivery.
  • Comply with all hygiene and Health & Safety Legislation and policies, maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
  • Monitor the performance of subordinates and provide timely feedback to ensure high standards are met.
  • Manage waste control and ensure efficient food delivery to meet customer expectations.
  • Deliver menu items to the required specification and standards, demonstrating expertise in various catering services.
  • Be competent in managing and delivering a full menu range for large and complex events, considering cost implications.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Fire Safety Legislation, and Group Health and Safety Policies, procedures, and arrangements.
  • Implement and manage Group Health and Safety and Fire Safety Policies, procedures, and arrangements applicable to your work activities and environment.
  • Ensure Food Safety requirements are met, liaising with the Food and Safety Support Department as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar position, with a minimum of City Guilds 7062 or NVQ Level 3.
  • Intermediate Hygiene certification and basic computer knowledge.
  • Full Clean Driving License and own transport (desired but essential).
