About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Regional Estates Surveyor to support the Senior Estates Manager in delivering an efficient and effective Estates Management service across our operational portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all property matters within a set geographic area, including rent reviews, service charge, lettings, lease renewals, and identifying opportunities to add value and enhance the portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with good communication skills, who will be confident operating in a collaborative cross-functional environment with opportunities to engage with multiple stakeholders in the Retail, Finance, and Maintenance teams, along with external consultants, professional advisers, and landlords.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for a portfolio of around 250 stores
  • Landlord and tenant relationship negotiating and documenting lease events
  • Sub tenant portfolio management
  • Exercise commercial judgement to resolve day-to-day property management issues within delegated authority levels.
  • Develop relationships with other Property Departments (Implementation & Maintenance)
  • Drive successful relationships with Regional Operational Managers to become a primary point of contact in Property

About You

We are looking for individuals with the following skills and experience:

  • Preferably Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - not essential
  • Knowledge of the Landlord & Tenant Act Legislation
  • Knowledge of the Town & Country Planning Legislation
  • >2 years commercial experience
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Ability to take on new information, adapt style, and develop new ways of working.
  • The ability to influence others and build effective networks.
  • A structured and process-driven approach to planning and organising work.
  • Confidence and maturity to take commercial decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to negotiate and influence a range of stakeholders and challenge the norm

About The Team

We design, build, develop, and maintain all of our properties across the UK from our supermarkets and manufacturing sites to our distribution centres and Head Office.

Driving a variety of exciting property projects, we aim to provide the best shopping experience to our customers and great working environments for our colleagues.

From architectural design, construction, and maintenance to project and asset management, we focus on quality and getting every detail just right. Constantly looking to do things even better, we listen to our customers to make their shopping trips easier and work closely with our colleagues to deliver hundreds of store refits every year.
