Job Title: Branded Medical Supply Chain Planner

At Simpson Booth Limited, we are seeking a skilled Branded Medical Supply Chain Planner to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, ensuring they meet the technical and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of potential suppliers to ensure they meet our technical and commercial requirements.
  • Cost Analysis: Perform cost analyses to determine the most cost-effective procurement strategies, including evaluating alternative materials or processes.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor and assess supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), such as quality, delivery times, and compliance with contract terms.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of materials and services across the EMEAA regions.
  • Inventory Management: Work with inventory management teams to ensure optimal inventory levels, minimising stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Training and Development: Share market and supplier insights with the procurement team and other relevant departments, and provide training and support to junior procurement staff.
Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum of 5 GCSE (including Mathematics and English Language) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience in supply chain or logistics roles, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • ERP Systems: Extensive experience in using ERP systems, specifically SAP or SAP S/4Hana, including proficiency in modules related to procurement, supply chain management, and financial reporting within SAP.
  • Advanced Excel and Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools (such as Excel, Power BI) to analyse procurement data and support decision-making.
