About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our youth offending services, you will play a vital role in supporting young people and making a positive impact on their lives.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with adolescents and has experience in supporting vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE: You will work closely with young people, assessing their needs and providing support to help them achieve their goals.
  • WORKING WITH PROFESSIONALS: You will collaborate with a variety of professionals and agencies to ensure that young people receive the best possible outcomes.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for building positive relationships with children, young people, parents, and professionals.
Requirements
  • EXPERIENCE: Demonstrable experience in working with adolescents, preferably in settings such as YOIs, STCs, probation, youth justice, or social services.
  • SKILLS: Excellent communication skills, ability to assess, support, and motivate young people, especially those with medium to high levels of vulnerability and risk.
  • LEGISLATION: Understanding of current legislation related to children, young people, and families, particularly those who offend.

  • A competitive salary of £37,965 - £43,131 per annum.
