Youth Wellbeing Specialist

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a skilled Youth Wellbeing Specialist to join their team. This rewarding role involves working with children at risk, supporting Team Managers, and promoting excellence within the team.
About the Role:
This position requires an individual who can gather information, complete assessments of need and risk, and co-ordinate multi-agency approaches to safeguard the wellbeing and interests of children and young people. You will work closely with other professionals and agencies to achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people.
Responsibilities:
- Support Team Managers to promote excellence within the team, providing peer supervision, mentoring, and deputising in their absence.
- Gather information, complete clear, accurate, and holistic professional assessments of need and risk in respect of children and families.
- Critically analyse all relevant information and co-ordinate the multi-agency approach to promote and safeguard the wellbeing and interests of children/young people.
- Liaise and work with other professionals and agencies to achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people.
- Build positive relationships with children and their families through promoting participation and undertaking direct work.
- Update and maintain high-quality case files in the council's management information system, ensuring all key information about the child's circumstances and plans are recorded within timescales and comply with General Data Protection Regulations.
- Take personal responsibility for own professional development and reflective practice, keeping up-to-date with changes to legislation, court rules, policies, procedures, and best practice development.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. An estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
