Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Power Systems Specialist to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our Electrical Verification Team, you will be responsible for verifying and validating power systems, conducting analysis, and performing calculations to support the maturity and design of electrical platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Power System Analysis: Conduct load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis of electrical power systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  2. Electrical Load Budget Management: Manage and analyze electrical load budgets to identify areas for improvement and optimize system efficiency.
  3. Model Development and Validation: Develop and validate electrical models to support system design and verification.
  4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with multi-discipline teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  5. Technical Reporting and Presentations: Prepare technical reports, calculations, and presentations to communicate results and advise recommendations.
  6. Team Development and Mentoring: Develop and mentor other team members to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements:
  1. Education and Qualifications: Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, with a strong understanding of power systems and electrical engineering principles.
  2. Professional Development: Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  3. Technical Expertise: Knowledge of high power and medium voltage power systems and distributions, with experience conducting electrical load budget and load flow analysis.
  4. Software Skills: Proficiency in power system analysis software tools, such as ETAP, Simulink/Simscape, and MATLAB.
  5. Stakeholder Management: Experience in stakeholder management, with a strong ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
