Job Summary:

Norfolk Wildlife Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nature Conservation Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our conservation team, you will be responsible for driving efficiency and best practice across our practical conservation work.

About the Role:

The Nature Conservation Operations Manager will work across the full extent of NWT's land holdings, which include some of the county's most important wildlife sites. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our machinery and equipment, as well as providing administrative support to the conservation team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a fleet of machinery and equipment, including tractors, 360 excavators, and chainsaws.
  • Provide administrative support to the conservation team, including data entry, report writing, and budget management.
  • Work closely with the site team leads to organize and support tasks being undertaken across the reserves operation.
  • Develop and implement best practice across our practical conservation work.
  • Collaborate with the conservation team to achieve our conservation goals.

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of machinery operation and engineering skills.
  • Administrative support capabilities, including data entry, report writing, and budget management.
  • Strong knowledge of and interest in wildlife conservation and practical land management.
  • Experience and qualifications in the use of equipment such as tractors, 360 excavators, tracked dumpers, chainsaws, and brush cutters.
