About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Audiologist to join our dedicated team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient-centred care to children and young people with hearing loss.

Our service focuses on early diagnosis and management of hearing loss in children and young people, with a patient-centred approach that aims to provide in-depth diagnostic assessment, investigation, and habilitative management to meet each child's hearing needs.

You will work closely with specialist speech and language therapists, teachers of the deaf, and paediatric consultants to provide quality care in line with national and international guidelines for best practice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient-centred care, working autonomously to provide audiological assessments, rehabilitation, diagnosis, and treatment plans to the paediatric caseload.
  • Support the Consultant Audiovestibular Physician and the Lead Paediatric Audiologist in providing a high-quality service.
  • Take an active role in clinical audit, research, and clinical governance for the audiology service, contributing to the development of evidence-based protocols.
Person Specification
  • Meets qualification and registration requirements.
  • Has a proficient understanding of national protocols and keeps up-to-date with changes.
  • Demonstrates higher than BSC level training.
What We Offer

We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'.

Please note that if you require a Certificate of Sponsorship to work in the UK, you must declare this on your application form, even if you currently have a certificate of sponsorship or a work permit for another role and are already working in the country.
